What's a
Temperament Test?

Evaluation, meet and greet, temperament test, they're all the same. In short, a temperament test is a time block to see how your dog responds to standard daycare interactions under a varied stimuli load. All new dogs coming to Pup City for daycare or boarding must first take part in a temperament test. The test takes a minimum of 2 to 4 hours (though we can go shorter/longer, when needed) to ensure dogs acclimate comfortably to both the facility and pack play! We primarily observe your pup's physical/mental characteristics and their reaction to the same characteristics in other dogs. These tests are an essential part to the Pup City experience. Temperament testing is a foundational building block in maintaining a safe environment for every dog and employee on site! Do you have more questions regarding the temperament test? Check out the topic specific FAQ section below.

*The registration process is REQUIRED prior to all scheduled temperament tests.

*We REQUIRE all dogs to be spayed/neutered, at least 5 months of age, and up to date on DHPP,    Lepto, Rabies, Bordetella, CIV, and recent Fecal Float (every 12 months).

*An updated temperament test (fees ranging) is required for dogs who have not been to the facility  in 6 months. See more Important Info.

*Temperament tests are scheduled 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
