What's a
Temperament Test?
Evaluation, meet and greet, temperament test, they're all the same. In short, a temperament test is a time block to see how your dog responds to standard daycare interactions under a varied stimuli load. All new dogs coming to Pup City for daycare or boarding must first take part in a temperament test. The test takes a minimum of 2 to 4 hours (though we can go shorter/longer, when needed) to ensure dogs acclimate comfortably to both the facility and pack play! We primarily observe your pup's physical/mental characteristics and their reaction to the same characteristics in other dogs. These tests are an essential part to the Pup City experience. Temperament testing is a foundational building block in maintaining a safe environment for every dog and employee on site! Do you have more questions regarding the temperament test? Check out the topic specific FAQ section below.
